No tendría más de seis años cuando disfruté por pri-mera vez de una película de Sergio Leone. Eran tiempos analógicos y las condiciones del visio¬nado no fueron las más idóneas, pero esa pequeña traba técnica no impidió que desde ese día, en mis juegos de infancia, los marcianos dejasen paso a los cazadores de recompensas. Una cinta de vídeo Beta de ?El bueno, el feo y el malo? desfiló ante mis ojos en una tele Grundig, aquella marca alemana que se anunciaba con el arrogante eslogan de ?caro pero el mejor?. La pelí¬cula, como ocurría a menudo con algunas copias de los ya casi extinguidos y añorados videoclubes, se había pasado tantas veces que se veían con más claridad las rayas generadas por múltiples rebobi-nados que los primerísimos primeros planos tan representativos del cine de Leone, a lo que había que sumar otro inconveniente: al adaptar la copia cinematográfica a la configuración televisiva, no se respetaba el formato original de grabación con lo que el televisor engullía los márgenes de los encua¬dres de cada plano, es decir, los planos generales eran más cortos y los cortos casi se salían de la pan¬talla.
